Santadi Carignano de Sulai, 2021, Sardinia

This vineyard can be found in the south west of Sardinia and the grapes are Carignano a native Sardinian grape where they are grown as ungrafted bush vines.  This wine is made from superb quality grapes which are grown with low production to maximise quality.  It has notes of lavender, cherries and rhubarb and on the palate it has berries liquorice and earthy characters with its unfiltered and unfined wine giving it great texture.  Delicious with bbq and rich tomato based dishes
