This wine is grown in the sandy soils of Vine Vale perfect for Grenache. The fruit comes from the Tri Centenary Vineyard which was planted in 1929 and 1949 to bush vines. The wine has undergone wild yeast ferment then in older French oak puncheons for 6 months. On the nose it has dark cherries liquorice and 5 spice with chocolate and musky roses and on the palate ripe berry fruit, cherries lliquorice and spice with layers of dried herbs. Its tannins are long and silky – so delicious.
