A delicious Piedmont in Italy grape variety grown in the Yarra Valley. This is a cool climate classy red wine. Fruit was handpicked and underwent fermentation in a foudre – large format oak vessel – so this has given the wine complexity without heavy oak influence. On the nose the wine has rich ripe raspberries, strawberries and slight cedar with the palate it has the raspberries with some spice, cedar an leather but still remains soft, textural and so delicious. Great served with veal, pork or game meats and mushroom risotto
