This wine is made from Verdejo grapes grown in Rueda, just north of Madrid at 750m above sea level on 40 year old bush vines. This grape has natural acidity and has been fermented in a mix of large wooden vats, concrete containers and stainless steel tanks. Basa has notes of fresh herbs and pears and on the palate, it delivers fleshy fruit, earthiness and dried herbs with lovely minerality, savoury and textured finish with dried herbs. In this Region they serve this wine with roasted milk fed baby lamb, Manchego cheese and piquillo peppers.
